No account to create on this site. You get a deck file, you import it into Anki once, and from then on Anki decides what you see each day and when you see it again.
New to Anki? Anki is a free spaced-repetition app. It shows you a card, you say whether you knew it, and it schedules the next showing: soon for the ones you keep getting wrong, weeks later for the ones you know cold.
Anki is free on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android, and free to use in any browser through AnkiWeb. Only the iPhone and iPad app is paid, and that is a one-off purchase made directly from Anki, not from me.
Download your deck file
Your download link appears on the confirmation screen at checkout, and the same link arrives by email from [email protected]. It gives you a single .apkg file. Keep the email: it is your proof of purchase and your route to future updates.
Install Anki
Get the desktop app from apps.ankiweb.net and create a free AnkiWeb account while you are there. The account is what syncs your progress between your laptop and your phone, so do it before you start reviewing rather than after.
Import the deck
Open Anki, choose File then Import, and select the .apkg file you downloaded. On most computers double-clicking the file does the same thing. The deck appears in your list within a few seconds, alongside any decks you already have. Nothing you already own is touched or overwritten.
Review every day
Click the deck and start. Anki hands you a set number of new cards a day plus everything that is due for review, and it stops when you are done. Twenty minutes a day beats four hours the weekend before the exam, and the scheduler is built on that assumption.
Before your first session, open Deck Options and set the new cards per day to something you will actually sustain. The default is a guess about a stranger. Ten minutes there saves you from abandoning the deck in week two.
Common questions
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. AnkiDroid on Android is free, AnkiMobile on iPhone and iPad is a one-off purchase from Anki, and AnkiWeb works in any browser at no cost. Sync through your free AnkiWeb account and your progress follows you between devices.
Will importing overwrite my existing decks?
No. The deck lands alongside what you already have. You can rename it, move it into a parent deck, or pull individual cards out and delete the rest.
Do I get updates?
Yes, and they are free. When a deck is revised I email the new file. Your existing copy and your review history are untouched, so you choose whether to move across.
Can I edit the cards?
Yes. Once the deck is imported it is an ordinary Anki deck. Rewrite the wording, retag it, suspend the cards you already know and add your own.
Can I share it with a study group?
No. A purchase covers one person. Reselling it or redistributing the file is not permitted. If your group wants copies, each person needs their own.
What if it is not right for me?
Reply to the delivery email within 14 days and I refund it, no questions asked.
